Paul Trengove to compete in Formula 4000, Powered by Holden

After months of searching for a deal to compete in the Australian Formula 3 Championship, Paul Trengove re-evaluated his options and has been able to secure a drive in a Formula 4000 (formerly Formula Holden) for the remaining rounds of the Australian Championship.

CPA Australia, this country’s largest professional organisation, will support Paul for a second year in 2003.

Paul’s goal is to eventually compete in the V8 Supercar Championship and he sees Formula 4000 as the ideal stepping stone to achieving this dream. He will drive an ex Malcolm Ramsay 95 Reynard.

“Formula 3 was becoming too expensive for what I am trying to achieve with my career. As I want to race in V8 Supercars, I feel that Formula 4000 is the ideal category for me. Not to mention the Gold Star is one of the most prestigious awards in Australian Motorsport”

Trengove will debut at the second round of the championship at Winton on the 25-27th of May.
